[Jimmy Hayes] is a [Lance Hallam] story, but now Carol has lost the rose-colored glasses of her first months in London. Jimmy is Lance with a few more years on him. Like Lance he is a successful, married, middle-aged businessman with an eye for beautiful young women, but he is also losing his hair, has a paunch, and is completely without charm. Carol is older and wiser herself now and isn't taken in by Jimmy's crass attempts at seduction.

Jimmy returns for a brief cameo in [Jack Slingsby] in strips 2469-2572.
