In the wake of her breakup with Michael Fletcher, Carol decides to go to the Bahamas and stay with Uncle Marcus' cousin Martin West for a change of scene. There she meets Tim Harvey, a charter pilot, who convinces her to go along with him on a job for Henry Dietz, owner of a small private island. Dietz holds them hostage while he takes revenge on the man who killed his son. Dietz is played by Burl Ives.
